Dear Friends & Fellow Saffas,

As some of you may know, on Friday, the 1st February a tragic accident took place at Hoerskool Driehoek in Vanderbijlpark. Four students sadly lost their lives when a walkway bridge collapsed over them as they were walking to class, leaving them trapped underneath. Over twenty children were admitted to hospital and some have suffered life changing injuries. My heart goes out to these families, students & teachers affected by this very sad incident.

The community back home have been left devastated but they have also been incredible gathering around and supporting the families and school in all sorts of ways. An account has been set up back home but I would love to help them and let them know that us fellow Saffas on this side of the world are thinking and praying for them.

We would love to raise some funds for the families to help with the medical bills or whatever the need may be. Every little helps so if you able, please donate to this cause. I will transfer the funds via 1st Contact to the Golden Chamber of Commerce account which is handling the crowd funding initiative in South Africa to assist with the relief efforts. I will also gather messages of support, if you would like to leave a note please do and I will make a card posting it to the school in a couple of weeks time.
