We believe everyone should have an opportunity to play sport at the highest level.

#HOCI-GOLD #weightinhocigold campaign is seeking to raise the weight and value of a hockey stick and ball in gold by appealing for one off donations of circa £10. The campaign has the full support of @hockey_wales.

Unfortunately sport is not immune to financial needs. Hockey Wales requires Wales women's national hockey team to make significant individual contributions to help fund this year's international programme. Clearly this player contribution is a concern for athletes, many of whom are full time students or young professionals. These inspiring female role models are balancing an intense training schedule alongside their full time work and study. Their ability to fundraise is limited and their humility also inhibits this. Any support you are able to provide will relieve a great deal of pressure on the squad allowing them to concentrate solely on a winning performance and ensure we do not lose talent.

Every £1,000 raised will cover the cost of one athlete - please help us cover the whole squad of 30 and turn red to gold!

We know times are tough but if we can encourage 3,000 individuals or small businesses to make a one time donation of circa £10 we hit gold - back of the net! In return we are happy to promote your business to our HOCI_GOLD community.
