The UK is not planting forest quickly enough. We intend to create a new meta for community action on reforestation. Inspired by others who have done similar projects (such as The Kilfinan Community Forest), we aim to raise funds to privately acquire land (in North Lancashire) that can be easily utilised as forest. We will make this into an activity that engages local young people by popularising it and laying foundations for further education in environmental sustainability in a trendy way.
