Story

Asalaam Alaykom everyone,

My name is Hind and I have decided to start raising money for the people of my country, Yemen. As you may have heard, the ongoing crisis in Yemen has left 14 million people affected by the famine and are on the verge of starvation and this number will continue to increase if help is not provided. Not only are the people of Yemen deprived of their well deserved income, but they are also experiencing high inflation rates making basic necessities extremely expensive! The situation in Yemen has reached the upsetting stage where funding pages are required to be made to feed starving people. Unfortunately, this situation will continue to worsen if the people are not provided with food, medicine and essential aid. As a Yemeni myself, this cause has a very special place in my heart and I feel it is my duty to help and raise money for the people in Yemen.

With the current situation of COVID-19, it is very difficult to find a charity that is willing to go to Yemen and provide hands on support in these desperate times that they need us. Both my parent's families live in Yemen and are able to distribute the money raised to the people that actually need it in the whole of Yemen. Having family living in Yemen has allowed for the identification of the people who are truly in need. This way I can be reassured that the money reaches those individuals.

This is a non-profit cause, so all the money will go directly to those who need it and will be used to purchase food for those suffering during the famine. Please donate, any amount helps, and if you are not in the position to donate, please share this page to friends and family on social media so it can be seen by others that can help.

Thank you,

Hind Alsayyed ❤️
