Story

We are raising money in memory of our best mate James who sadly lost his battle with cancer. James faught for a year and now we will continue his legacy to help others fight this horrible horrible illness.

In April 2020 our best friend James was devastatingly diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS). Over the following year he battled through various types of gruelling chemotherapy & radiotherapy treatment. Unfortunately we received news that this treatment hadn’t worked.

Our only option now was to look into sourcing private medical treatment. This clearly came at a cost, even for the research to take place. Together as a group we decided to raise money to give James the best chance possible to beat this cruel and punishing illness. Heartbreakingly James lost his battle, the money raised will now be donated to Sarcoma UK, a charity that works to support and help sarcoma patients, a charity very close to James and his family’s hearts.

Henry Bartle, Ollie Ward and Jeremy Butterfield will be running 3 marathons in three days taking place on May 28th, 29th & 30th.

Luca Peterson and Harry Halsall have walked the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and the Lake Distrcit 3 Peaks over 2 consecutive days.

Joe Braham has completed a ski tour, starting in Verbier town (1500m) and touring through the night to reach the summit of mont fort (3328m) for sunrise. The tour was a 1828 vertical meter climb.

All of these challenges are to raise as much money as possible in memory of our best friend James, and help others in need of support during their own battle. James was always one to help others and never put himself first, by doing these challenges we’re honouring the outlook James had on life and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones.

Please donate as much or as little as you can. Every donation is massively appreciated and will go great lengths to getting patients the help they need.
