Story

Masayuki Yamanaka is a Japanese motorcycle racer who has made it his lifetime's ambition to ride in the Isle of Man TT Races. Each year he brings a small team to stay with us at our holiday accommodation as he pursues his dream. This year, as he travelled to the island, a thief stole a very large sum of his money just as he was on his way to catch the boat in Liverpool.

Yamanaka is a privateer so he is not funded by any of the big Motorcycling sponsors. He comes to the Isle of Man all the way from Japan and is on a tight budget throughout his stay. The theft of this money will have a real impact on Yamanaka and his team. Even so, he refuses to let it get him down and has kept smiling.

People on the island are always fantastically generous when TT visitors suffer any kind of misfortune. So, could you perhaps find it in your hearts and pockets to make a small donation so that together we can raise around £500 to help Yamanaka's team with living expenses over the next few week that they are here?

Please give the smallest amount you can afford and together we can make a very big difference to this amazing man and his team. Please, please share this page and hopefully we can help Yamanaka achieve his TT dream.
