Breaking the Silence: Can You See Me? - Empowering Survivors, Transforming Lives

In Sierra Leone, a silent crisis continues to devastate countless lives. Adolescent girls, victims of female genital mutilation (FGM), rape, and child exploitation, suffer in silence, their pain often dismissed by societal norms that allow these atrocities to persist. These young survivors carry invisible scars—wounds not just on their bodies but deep within their minds and hearts.

The "Can You See Me?" crowdfunding campaign is a beacon of hope for these brave girls. We are raising £10,000 to deliver life-changing therapeutic services directly to the communities where these girls live. Our mission is clear: to shatter the stigma surrounding their trauma, offering them a path to healing and empowering them to reclaim their futures.

Why This Cause Matters

In Sierra Leone, harmful traditional practices are often seen as normal, leaving survivors isolated and without the support they desperately need. The lack of specific mental health services only deepens the trauma these girls endure, affecting their ability to move forward in life.

Our Vision for Change

Guided by the lived experiences of survivors, the "Can You See Me?" campaign seeks to fill the gap in mental health services for adolescent girls in three of the most affected communities in Sierra Leone. We believe that by addressing their mental health needs, we can empower these girls to rebuild their lives with strength and resilience.

How Your Donation Helps

Your contribution will fund 6-12 sessions of specialized therapy for these girls, bringing expert mental health practitioners directly into their communities. These sessions will create safe spaces for healing, helping them to process their trauma and begin their journey toward recovery.

The Power of Your Impact

Every pound you donate helps to break the silence that surrounds these survivors, offering them a lifeline to hope and healing. Our £10,000 goal will ensure that a dedicated team can deliver and manage this critical project, making sure that no girl is left behind.

Be Part of the Change

By supporting the "Can You See Me?" campaign, you are not just donating—you are making a profound difference in the lives of these girls. You’re telling them that they are seen, that their pain is recognized, and that their lives matter. Your support can transform their suffering into strength, paving the way for a brighter, more hopeful future.

Together, let’s break the silence. Let’s empower these girls to reclaim their voices, their dignity, and their lives.

Donate today and stand with us on this transformative journey. Can You See Me?
