I've raised £10000 to Help Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservation

Conservation areas and projects in Africa are largely funded by tourism revenue and remain under threat as we enter the third year of COVID and pandemic related financial difficulties, fueled by travel bans and variant concerns. We desperately need your support to make it through this uncertain and unprecedented period in our history, our biggest and most ongoing challenge thus far.
At Imire we passionately believe in combining conservation, the upliftment of local communities, education, and eco-tourism to protect and preserve vital endangered species.
Safeguarding several flagship species at Imire means we create an umbrella of protection for thousands of other animals too and help secure the future of the people living alongside the conservancy who are vital partners in protecting our wildlife.
The effect this pandemic has had on Imire has been nothing short of catastrophic. Tourism bookings, one of the most important funding contributors to the conservancy's operations, have dwindled down to next to nothing. Without access to much needed funds our operations are starved of finance and could potentially grind to a halt. Unemployment and starvation are dangerous drivers of poaching and COVID, lockdowns and job losses have decimated an already weak economy in Zimbabwe.
Your donation will be used to help contribute towards the ongoing expenses associated with protecting endangered species and the environment they inhabit. These costs include the wages of the Imire Anti-Poaching Unit, the supplementary feeds and veterinary costs for our animals, the repairs and maintenance of the conservancy and our ongoing community support projects.
