Story
Cassidy is myself, Jules Emmerson and Lucy Coyle's niece, and beloved granddaughter to Lynn Blackmore. She is a kind, funny and adorable 12 year old who lives in Thailand with her Papa, Mark Coyle and her Mama, Saowalak. Cassie was diagnosed with a brain stem tumour at Christmas time after 3 months of travelling around Thailand, visiting 6 hospitals where no one could help. There is no NHS in Thailand and access to medical care is difficult. The 6th hospital in Bangkok agreed to operate to remove what they could of the tumour. The surgeon was reluctant as there was a huge risk, but he did it! In October last year Cassie lost the use of her right hand and was misdiagnosed a few times. By the time we found someone who agreed to help, she had a withered right arm, difficulty walking and one eye cross eyed. Since then Cassie has flown from her home in Krabi to Bangkok 12 times for chemotherapy. To keep costs down, they fly in and out the same day meaning Cassie has to sleep on the plane after her session. A new MRI shows the tumour has grown and Cassie now needs 72 further chemo sessions. We really need help to raise further funds.

Our first page expired so we have had to set up this new one, linked to the original. Our initial fund raising resulted in £15,000 of donations which enabled Cassie and her parents to stay in Bangkok to have her life saving operation and the first 12 sessions of chemo. Cassie will now need to fly 72 more times to receive her chemotherapy if the next MRI shows the tumour is shrinking. It would be wonderful for Cassie to receive more physio for her disabilities and ideally we would like to transfer her to a smaller Muslim school for more one to one attention. I know you are all beside us, hoping for Cassie to have a good outcome.
With thanks to the wonderful Doctors in London who are giving us advise, Pui in Bangkok for helping with translation, the incredible surgeon who bravely operated and most of all to the very generous donations you have already made. Much love Team Cassie xx
