We would really appreciate if you could help, our miniature Dachshund Toby became ill on 12th March and he's been staying at the animal hospital since. Toby is critically ill suffering with an unknown illness which is attacking his stomach and small intestines. Toby has undergone extensive testing and treatment along with abdominal surgery to find the cause of this illness, however we still don't know what is causing him to be so ill. We do know that with critical fluid and medical treatment he has a chance of recovery.

The treatment he's receiving is the best, however his vet bills are rising every day and currently sitting close to £7000. As his owners we want the best for him and to give him the best chance at recovery so that he can come home to us.

Toby is more than just a family pet, he is a family member. Since entering our family in July toby has brought so much love and happiness. Chris and I joke that he isn't just our dog, he's our families dog. He loves his family and is loyal without fault and loves nothing more than a cuddle. We never thought we'd be love a dog as much as we love him, the thought of loosing him is unbearable and we are trying everything we can to improve his condition and bring him home to us.

All toby wants to give is his unconditional love in the form of cuddles.

His favourite thing to do at home is to be wrapped in as many fluffy blankets as possible and sleep all day until his mum gets home from work.

He loves going on many adventures and we'd love to be able to take him on many more.

If you can spare even £1 it would go a long way in helping us to cover his vet bills. If we manage to raise anything over his vet bills we will donate this to animal charities so that pet owners who find themselves in our situation can get some support in helping to care for their sick animals.

Unfortunately on 12th march at 11:30am Toby lost his battle. He passed away cuddled into Chris and niamh.
