Miss Kelly’s Primary 6 class at the Edinburgh Academy Junior School are doing a sponsored Olympic Torch Relay around their homes in Edinburgh and the surrounding area to raise money for Friends of Braidburn School in memory of Matthew Tambyraja who died in May 2021.

The children are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Braidburn, and to show their love and support for Matthew’s brother Daniel, who is their friend and classmate, and who is joining them on their relay.

Matthew was a pupil at Braidburn school and loved his time there. Braidburn provides a positive learning environment for nursery, primary and secondary aged children with additional health and support needs.

Friends of Braidburn School is a registered charity which funds extra equipment and outings for the pupils at the school.
