    Story

    WE NEED TO RAISE c£5,000
Joey has been tirelessly working for over 20 years, helping young people realise their dreams in music & so many other ways.

From setting up workshops in inner city areas, where poverty & crime is rife, he took these young people off the streets, funding everything from his own pocket for so long. He's given them hope & showed them new directions away from drugs, gangs & crime. He is still helping young people to become better in themselves, through music, as this is where Joey started his own passion back in 1987.

Joey is now 47 years old & while working in Thailand, earlier this month, was taken seriously ill. He had several seizures & a heart attack, & now Joey has found himself without any medical insurance, still very weak, & the bills have amounted to a lot of money. To leave the hospital he had to pay £2500, which is the most overdraft he could access. He has also had to hand over his passport until the final bill (another 150.000 Baht, around £2880 / $4200) is cleared. Only then can he get his passport back and be able to leave Thailand. He does not have the extra money either! Even once the total bill I cleared, he then has to find another £350 for his flight home!

So we are trying to raise $8000 to get him safely back home.

Joey grew up in Hackney, East London, in a children's' home from a very young age. By the time he was 13, he had run away & was already living on the streets of London. Which is why he still works so hard to help young people, who ha can relate to, today. However, with no family or anyone he can turn to now in this time of crisis, we wanted to try and help get his medical bills paid and for him to be able to get his passport back and return home.

His visa is also running out, & this will incur a daily fine too, if his bill is not paid by the time it expires. This is all causing him much stress & he feels helpless & frustrated at the situation he is in right now.

    Please help get Joey home....
