For the past 10 years I have raised money for numerous charities by doing the Great North Run. This year was obviously cancelled due to COVID so I am going to try and help a fantastic little organisation close to where I live called HEBBURN HELPS.

As a Jarrow lad, Hebburn is literally the town next door. However, South Tyneside is a special place, everyone helps where they can, especially during these tough times.

HEBBURN HELPS Community Food Bank and Crisis Response Team are a Voluntary Community Organisation that was set up to help local families who are finding it hard and are struggling to make ends meet. They provide food parcels, adults clothing, kids clothing, baby equipment, toys, household items and more.

Since The Government announced that they wont be providing free meals to children during the upcoming holidays, then this is a chance to stick together and help those in need most.

I am not planning on any fundraising events, I am simply hoping you can dig deep and give as much as you can afford to help keep up the excellent work HEBBURN HELPS already do. I am sure it will go along way to keeping everyone safe, warm and fed.
