We need your help!!

Nearly 2 years ago we started the Heaton Park Play area project, under the umbrella of the Friends of Heaton Park. We were concerned about the deterioration of the fenced play area which is loved and well used.

Our hard work has paid off and just in time, as we have already lost the big slide this summer and other pieces are really on their last legs.

Working alongside the park ranger Sarah and with help from members of Newcastle City Council we have secured a significant amount of money from various grants. However, we have had to compromise on the design in order to fit within the budget.

This is now our final push. We are asking for support from the local community to help us achieve everything on our wish list. Funds raised will go towards equipment in the form of a small playhouse and sensory play panels.

The contractors are on the way to start work at the end of September so we have a limited time to try and raise this money. So please help us crowdfund and spread the word far and wide to give our local kids a playground they deserve.

The new playground will be finished before the year is out and it looks great. It will be new, it will be safe and will have a trampoline!!!
