Story
Thank you for supporting us.
Mr Dicker, Miss Romaine, Mr Dunstan, Mr Waterhouse, Miss O'Reilly, Mrs Houghton and Mrs Bisby are all taking part. We are aiming to raise funds to support the development of an all weather running track (1-1 and a half metres wide) around the extreme perimeter of our school field. This would be used on a daily basis to increase the physical activity that all children take part in, as recommended by recent research and by government guidance. We are aiming to ensure that all children participate in at least 30 minutes of their school day in physical activity. We would use this running lane to participate in daily exercise (walking, skipping, jogging or running before lunch), to help develop children's physical and emotional well being. The running lane would also have many other benefits, including additional opportunities in PE lessons, the opportunity to develop additional extra curricular clubs, development of children's stamina and the potential of current clubs to develop what they offer.
We are all training hard and getting ready for the 10km run on the 30th September 2018 at Blenheim Palace, where we will finally have our teachers' race! 20% of what we raise is going to causes close to our hearts. 10% to The British Heart Foundation and 10% to Annabelle's Challenge. The remaining 80% will go straight to helping develop the school field to help improve our children's fitness, health and well being. Please see us in school for further information.
