Just Love Falmouth is aiming to raise £500 to help Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees and Truro Community Refugee Support.

Committee members Shanti, Davina and Rezi are doing this by SHAVING THEIR HEADS! And Zac will be waxing his legs!

If you are in Falmouth on the 20th January, please come along and support us at Fairwinds (7pm-10pm) and you can even bid to shave a bit off yourself!

Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees and Truro Community Refugee Support are two charities who do incredible work supporting refugee families as they settle into the local community.

From the Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees website: “Since 2011, at least 5.6 million people have been forced to flee from Syria, to escape a devastating civil war. Projects like this one have been set up to welcome families who have been forced from their homes as a result of the Syrian conflict into communities across the UK. The schemes have been shown to be the most effective ways of helping families adapt as quickly as possible to their new surroundings to become valued members of their communities.”
