Story

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuhu.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” Sahih Bukhari 439, Sahih Muslim 533

Hazarichalk Jame Mosque, Hazarichalk, Zakiganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh was build just before 1947 India / Pakistan partition time, the original land was bought and partly donated by the villagers. Approximately, 200 - 300 people are able to pray in jamat. Being located near a busy bus stop, the mosque also facilitates multiple villagers and travellers. Mostly the villagers raise running costs via local donations and local charities, repair and maintenance cost are covered by additional donations. 71 years old mosques original structure remained the same, and has undergone numerous repairs. Over decades the condition has become beyond repairable or no longer feasible; and keep the original structure. Furthermore, the daily maintenance / running cost becoming higher and higher.

With the blessing of almighty Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala, and with your kind support, we have decided to rebuild the mosque. Our initial plan is to re-build a self-sustainable mosque.

Our goals are Inshaallah:

· To rebuild the actual mosque building from scratch: To attract more people towards the deen.

· Increase its capacity: to allow more people to pray in the mosque comfortably.

· Make it more environment friendly: install solar panel and make it more energy efficient, to eradicate electricity problems.

· Install a new pond and deep tubewell: to reduce draught problems

· Build two shops: To cover the on-going future running cost.

We humbly would like to request you to join us this good cause: in the name of Allah. Hazarichalk Jame Masjid
