Iʼve raised £1,133 to help Peanut the donkey at Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary who is very sick and needs a warm shelter built and one to one care

Story
Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary has 18 donkeys to look after who have all had their share of hard work and ill treatment over the years. They now desperately need to put up a hospital bay in the donkeys field for Peanut as he is very poorly He has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which makes it very hard for him to breathe normally. He needs to be isolated from the other donkeys so that his condition does not worsen and he can be nursed back to health.

7 years agoFrom Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary 'We visited Peanut at the hospital today and sadly he hasn't responded to his treatment. His condition has deteriorated and, with the vet's advice, we have had to decide to end his suffering. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and will be greatly missed. We were glad to be there with him to the end and give him lots of hugs to help him through. Thank you all so much for your support. This shelter for Peanut will be named after him and will help the other 17 donkeys when they are poorly.
