Story

This is Harrison Quinn or Harry to everyone that knows him. He started life as a normal boy up until the age of 2 1/2 when he started to have blank seizures. On January 5th 2016 his mum and dad were told he had focal epilepsy. With new medication he was sent home and this would hopefully allow Harry to lead a normal life. But as the months passed his parents could no longer control the seizures and he was having upto 32 a day and was taken to Frimley Park hospital in the Easter of 2016. His medication was upped and the hospital had tried various medication to no effect. His right hand had started shaking all day. After a week he was sent to St Georges hospital in London to see a specialist where many tests were done , this is when they believed he had a brain disease called Rasmussen syndrome, but could not confirm until his brain showed signs of damage. By the summer of 2016 tests had confirmed he had indeed contracted Rasmussen syndrome (this disease basically kills one side of the brain) In Harrys case it would be his left side. His condition worsened and he now has lost any movement in his right arm and can no longer walk. We are raising funds to get Harry to pre school and equipment Harry will need to live a normal life. In May 2018 Harry was admitted to Great Ormond street hospital in London where he underwent a massive operation to destroy this disease inside of him. He has had his operation and there are great signs of recovery but everyone is still unsure of what parts of his body he will be able to regain control. His parents have received great news that he will be able to attend Bisley school but will need the extra equipment for him aswell as at home.Throughout his ordeal Harry just wants to be a happy boy.

Myself and two friends will be doing a 'Benidorm or bust' car rally to raise funds for Harry , we will be setting off from Bisley on Wednesday 13th June and will join other cars at Dover for our 1400 mile trip.
