Our Daughter Amy, 19 years old, was born with Rett Syndrome. A Severe Neurological disorder making her dependent on people caring for her, for the rest of her Life.
For the first time in Amy's Life, she is able to tell us, thru the use of an Eye Gaze device, how she is Feeling, if she is in Pain, what she would like to eat, whether she would like an Apple or a bag of crisps....Juice or Water, basic choices she has never had the privilege of having before.
We have had a glimpse of her Beautiful Personality and now she is able to, in her own way, independent tell us, she Loves us, and we can tell her. This has never happened before.
