Story
I am cycling (not on an e-bike) from Land's' End to John O'Groats starting on August 9 and hopefully arriving in John O'Groats 15 days later. However on day 8 I had a heart attack while camping near Carlisle and was admitted to hospital in Carlisle where I was operated on and treated. So I failed to get to Scotland but have decided for health reasons to call the ride usually referred to as LEJOG ( Land's End to John O'Groats) as LETCH (Land's End to Carlisle Hospital). To make the journey more than just a long distance cycle ride I have a Just Giving Page to raise cash for Bath Youth Mentoring and the Bath Food Bank - a vital resource during the Cost of Living Crisis. I was mainly camping and cycling solo through Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and up through Cheshire to Cumbria - sometimes very wet but also some sunshine. Thank you for you support.

I set off from Land's End on Friday 9th August 2024 and home to do it in two weeks although following a heart attack near Carlisle I have had to curtail the ride. I'm the editor of Bath Voice Newspaper.
