Story

March is a massive month for us in the downsyndrome community, on the 21/3 we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, this date represents the 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. (trisomy21). My Son Archie (@archies_anarchy) was born in 2021 and without the support of our local charity we would of been truly lost.

Archie and all his friends at hands up for downs need our support to aid with speech and language and physiotherapy to name a few both vital to giving our children the best start in life.

Children with downsyndrome are often effected by low muscle tone, they need specialist physio support from as young ad 6 months to learn and develop basic tasks like lifting legs up, rolling over, crawling and walking. Speech and language support with a specialist consult has proven to aid communication in children from as young as 12-14 months.

All of this is provided by our amazing local charity hands up for downs, Archie has been given so many opertunities which has aided his progress and development……we need YOUR help so the parent/volunteer run charity can continue to support our wonderful children.
