Story
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
“Indeed, it is we who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things we have accounted for in a clear register.” (Qur’an, 36:12)
Our beloved uncle Mustafa Said passed away from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma a few years ago. He was an indescribable staple character in each of our lives and raised us as his own. We say Alhamdulilah for all the good times we were fortunate enough to share with him. As his nieces and nephews, we wanted to arrange Sadaqah Jariyah in the form of a water well to be built where it’s needed most.
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]
We as a family, will never forget him, and will continuously be making dua for him, giving charity in his name, reading Quran for him and fasting for him. We believe there is no better benefit for someone you have loved in this life, for their afterlife. We welcome any donations towards the lump sum we have arranged so far. As we are in difficult times at the moment - if you are unable to contribute, all that we ask for is your dua’aas.
Absolutely 100% of the donations will go towards charity, if we are blessed to reach above this, we will add further contributions ourselves to build more wells where possible. For everyone that has donated, you too will reap the benefits on a day that we have all been promised. In sha Allah.
As Salamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatu
