I have been given the opportunity to represent my school on an exchange visit to Masindi, Uganda. Masindi is a rural town 3 hours drive from the capital, Kampala. It is 140 miles Northwest of the capital. The population of Masindi is around 95,000. I will be going to Masindi Secondary School which is a government funded secondary school. This is the 14th year that my school has had a link to Masindi Secondary School. This trip takes place during the February half-term and I am aiming to raise £1200 towards the cost of the exchange. I will be trying traditional Ugandan food, living their typical school day, visiting local families and hopefully playing a bit of football while I'm there.

In order to raise the money I intend to do a 24 hour fast, a few cake sales, a staff quiz night, car washes, cook and host a meal and also run 10K a day for a month
