I've raised £2500 to help research into cancer and help young cancer victims with real hair wigs.

Please read about how I will be donating my hair (and potentially shaving my head!) in support of 3 charities; Cancer Research, Little Princess Trust and the Army Benevolent Fund.
Cancer Research try to reduce cancer risk factors and cure cancer patients. Little Princess Trust provide real hair wigs for young people who lose their hair from cancer treatment or other illnesses. ABF help serving and veteran soldiers in need.
Why have i decided to support these charities now? Well, in the last few months I know 4 people who have been diagnosed with cancer and are commencing their battle to defeat this illness. One of these is my grandmother, who has cancer for the second time, despite a mastectomy. Two of the others have breast cancer and both are younger than me and I‘m only 38! I want to do my small part to help.
Many people do lots of worthwhile activities but I wanted to offer to do something that I really really didn‘t want to do- remove my hair! I actually quite like my hair but if we can raise enough money then it is all getting lopped off. The basic idea is this:
-for every £200 I will remove an inch from my hair
-I aim to grow at least 10inches of hair to donate to Little Princess Trust for them to turn into a real hair wig. The minimum they will accept is 7 inches
-If I raise £2500 then I will have my head completely shaved.
-Anyone who donates £50 will have the option to actually do the shaving- for all the haters out there!
-It will take place at South Cerney on the RLC Open Day: 6 Jul 19. It will be part of the programme for the day and the intent will also be to livestream the proceedings on facebook with the video placed on this page.
