Story
The Coronavirus pandemic has hit vulnerable Hackney residents hard. Many have found themselves newly redundant or losing work on zero hours contracts. Because of this, many more families and individuals will experience food poverty.
We are a network of local community organisations trying to address food poverty in Hackney and supporting residents who are experiencing this.
You can help by donating to the Hackney Food Fund now. Your money will go towards buying food and essential items for those in need. All donations are welcome.
How your donation will help:
- £10 will top up a grocery bag so that households have fresh fruit and vegetables
- £20 provides an older person with essential food for a week
- £35 will feed a family of four for one week
- £150 will feed a family of four for a month with a little extra for treats.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
