I've raised £5000 to Keep the doors open to our awesome Boxing Gym, keep our prices as low as possible, keep serving our community and participants.

Hi, it's Rob. The Head Coach of H Hour Boxing Gym, I am going to partake in a tandem skydive in May 2021, which will be as close to my 50th birthday as possible (if pandemic situation allows). I want to try and raise a few quid for H Hour Boxing for the reasons below, so if you can please donate or at the very least share our link/page to all and sundry. There will be video and photos of me dropping from the sky, so you can all have a laugh at my expense. All media will be posted on our social platforms.
After such a long layoff due to the pandemic, our resources have been depleted. We still have had to pay the rent, services and other bills. To keep us on the right track with a financial security buffer, we need to raise funds to ensure we have a contingency plan in place just in case this happens again.
The buying of new equipment, which not only includes boxing gear, but also cleaning and sanitisation technology which will ensure we continue to remain a safe and healthy training environment.
Harrogate is classed as a very affluent area, this in turn has omitted us from certain funding channels. However, we at H Hour Boxing want to keep our subs as low as possible. In order to keep the people coming and not be put off by price increases, which no doubt will be happening all over due to the pandemic.
Our doors have been open since 2014, we have a range of participants from all demographics. We are well established, and had champions at area and national level. But we are not just about the accolades of boxing success, we care about the community and how H Hour Boxing brings people from all backgrounds together. Everyone in the gym are equal, boxing gyms have a way of bonding people through mutual respect. Boxing training isn't easy, it instils discipline, routine and a focus of effort. It brings a new confidence to the shy, goals to the lost, and aids with physical and mental health like all other forms of physical training.
Help us help the community, Harrogate is affluent yes, that means the costs we incur are so much higher than our counter parts less than 10 miles away. If we were in Leeds our costs would be a third of what we currently pay now. We cater for everyone, and we want to be able to do this for the foreseeable future.
