Story
Following General Steam Navigations successful boiler lift and separation of the trailing truck from the frames, the General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society is now seeking funds to help overhaul the front bogie wheelsets. Our first appeal raised £1040 before it was shut early and successfully funded the work for the trailing truck axles.
The work is to be contracted out to a professional engineering firm and it's estimated that the trailing truck axle will be sent out to the winning bidder in late 2020. This is where we need your help we are fundraising to help cover as much as the cost as possible with the target being set at £2,500.
