Story

Hi,

In 2018 while watching stand up to cancer one of the stories really struck a cord, because of that I looked at taking on some challenges in 2019 to raise money for charity, one of these challenges was Follow the Seagulls, a 50 mile coastal walk over 2 days for the charity Brainstrust.

Through this walk I met Sam and James Dickenson, there youngest son Seth had just rung the bell at the Royal Marsden to signal the end of treatment after a brain tumour, but then early 2020 they got the terrible news that the cancer had returned and subsequently in May 2021 Seths fight sadly ended at the age of 7, he was a fighter and an amazing little human.

Why am I telling you this?

Because inspired by Seth now I'm taking on another challenge of wild swimming for 365 consecutive days, no wetsuit, all weather's and conditions. From the total raised over the next year 20% of donations will go to the 365 Legacy fund and 80% to Brainstrust who help support those affected by brain tumours.

You can follow my challenge progress with daily posts on Instagram @Greg365Challenge

More information of the challenge can be found at www.365seaswimchallenge.com

Thankyou.
