I've raised £1720 to pay for a planning consultant to help Greatham villagers respond to the SDNPA proposal to develop 40 homes & 4 permanent traveller sites.

SDNPA has put together a draft local-plan which affects planning laws in the National Park for the next 20 years. The Local Plan proposes a change to the Greatham settlement boundary and has identified the following sites for development.
Land on Petersfield Rd - 40 new homes and a shop
Land at Fern Farm - 4 permanent Gypsy and Traveller Pitches
Residents have the opportunity to respond to the proposals by 21st November 2017.
The nursery is presently located outside of the settlement boundary. They have recently submitted an application for 3 different sized developments with plans for 39, 59 or 65 units.

As a small rural community of 800 residents, we feel that it is important to evaluate and respond to the proposals in an objective way. A group of parishioners at a recent Parish planning meeting agreed that we should seek professional guidance from a local planner.
We need to raise funds immediately to instruct the planner who will come to the Greatham church hall on Friday 27th October at 7.30pm to share his findings and answer any questions.
For example to fund stage 1:- • 6 people to contribute £100 • 8 people to contribute £50 • 6 people to contribute £25 • 5 people to contribute £10
Please donate whatever you can so that Greatham Voice can be heard.
