Story
On my birthday, the 5th of June 2024, Peter Ross and I are going to do a 24 hour challenge, riding motorbikes from Lands End to John O’Groats. Peter on a Suzuki GSX S1000 and me, on a Harley Davidson 114 Fat Boy (NO SMART COMMENTS!). The purpose of this challenge, is to tick this off our bucket list, and whilst doing so, raise some money for the Moray Resource Centre Client Comfort Fund. Every penny donated will be used for the clients who attend the Resource Centre and benefit greatly from this facility.
My connection to the Resource Centre is Betty Rattray, mother of Martin and I, who suffers from vascular dementia. She attends the Resource Centre regularly and gets a great deal of enjoyment and stimulation from her visits. There are lots of things in her life that she has no recollection of, but, always remembers the visits to the Resource Centre. The staff at the Resource Centre must be commended for their patience and kindness to their clients and our family are grateful for the smile Betty comes home with after a visit.
Please help us support our cause if you can. None of us know when a loved one or ourselves may benefit from support like this.
