Story
We are raising funds to help fight against the NMC. The fact that they can unaccountably rule over nurses and make decisions against legal guidance is deplorable. Sarah Busby has worked for one trust for over 35 years. Only to find that people that tell untruths are more believed than the actual events. The fact that any nurse without union support has to face a trained barrister on their own and the fact that a panel are asked to make legal decisions based on one sided evidence presented to them because they are swayed by trained lawyers makes trying to fight them on your own impossible. Add to that that if they do adjudicate against you, they inform you that to appeal will personally cost you thousands of pounds and can only be done through the High Court. Please donate what you can and help clear this honest, caring, hard working nurse from an absolute travesty.

2 years agoThanks to everyone who supported us through this. Sarah's Substantive Order Review hearing has just taken place and with your help we were able to instruct the NMCWatch legal team to represent her. The panel's conclusion was that Sarah's Fitness To Practice is not impaired. Finally after 6 years we can put the whole episode behind us.

2 years agoUpdate: Final hearing date 25th April. Thankfully Sarah has support from not only her family and friends, but from NMC watch and other very senior nurses. All of whom are quietly supporting, advising and campaigning in the background. How my wife has had the strength to go through this ordeal for the past 6 years is beyond me! Admiration is not a strong enough word. Please support her in any way you can. Truth and justice will prevail. Please share with all of your contacts.
