Story
Recently I sustained a ruptured Anterior Cruciate ligament (ACL) & torn meniscus in an FA cup game against Margate shortly after scoring - which has caused a devastating close to my 23/24 debut season at Millwall FC. Having grown up a Millwall fan, this was the worst news I could have recieved upon receiving my scan results; an ever more common injury in the womens game especially, not what I wanted at 21 years of age. Unfortunately with this injury becoming increasingly common, the NHS wait time can be as long as 18 months for the initial surgery, on top of the 6-9 month recovery time.
I have recently just graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University and started my first full time job just a month before the day of my injury. Due to this I’m unable to afford private surgery alone, looking to still prolong my playing career whilst also looking after myself later in life. I am seeking the financial support in order to make this possible and get the surgery I require so that I can be back on the pitch again.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support,
Grace❤️
