BCS (British Chinese Society) is a non profit community society. Set up in 2001 and originally part of the BBC (British Born Chinese website forum), its aim is to bring together Chinese and Asian professionals with social events, sports and cultural activities to network and make new friends. We receive no funding from any bodies and staffed entirely by volunteers who receive no money and who have full time jobs manned the many amazing events we have over 20 years to our members. Many long term friendship and relationship have been formed, bringing together everyone who have a shared interest in the Chinese/Asian society and also providing a voice to the Chinese/Asian community which have often been neglected in the social/professional/political arena.

Currently costs are covered entirely by individual volunteers. We wish to share this burden and further to promote events and to cover a wider coverage to include other regions of the United Kingdom; to be a truely national community organisation supporting every BCS members and to the Chinese/Asian community. We want to support you !! Like a wise Chinese old proverb, as a single chopstick you can easily snap but as a group of chopsticks you will never snap. We are stronger together !!
