UPDATE
I reached my target of 2 million steps within 80 days - Thank you for all of your donations
I have now extended my target to walking 4,000 miles in 2024
My name is Gordon Adams and I am 90 years old. I have rung church bells for over 80years - 65 of these have been at St Marys Church Haverhill and I am still going strong!
Recently we have had a survey to check the health of the bells and it has been found that there is a need for a considerable amount if work to be done to ensure that our bells can ring out for many more years to come.
To help to reach the amount needed - I have decided to set myself a challenge.
I am planning to walk 2 million steps in 80 days - completion date 30th september 2024. Average steps per day will be 25,000 so will be living up to my name as ‘The Walking Grandad. You can find me on instagram under this name and keep updated on my journey
