I'm raising £3000 to Support Katie: Taking On the David Goggins Challenge to Help Fund Immunotherapy Treatment

This May bank holiday weekend, 7 of us are taking on one of the most physically and mentally demanding endurance challenges out there – the David Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge – to raise money for our friend, Katie, who is currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 brain cancer.
⸻
What’s the Challenge?
The David Goggins Challenge means running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours – that’s 12 runs, totalling 48 miles over two days.
This isn’t just tough – it’s brutal. The lack of sleep, the minimal recovery time, and the physical toll will push us to our limits. But it’s nothing compared to the strength Katie shows every single day in her battle.
⸻
We start our first run at 4:00 PM on Friday, 23rd May, and keep going right through to our final run at 12:00 noon on Sunday, 25th May.
We’ll post a more detailed plan of our routes on social media for anyone who would like to join us at any point. The more the merrier!
⸻
Why We’re Doing This
Katie is currently undergoing treatment for a stage 4 brain tumour, and we’re raising funds to support her access to immunotherapy treatment – a promising approach that isn’t fully covered by the NHS and comes with significant costs.
Immunotherapy offers hope and options where conventional treatments may be limited, and we want to help ensure Katie has every chance available to her.
Every donation you make will go directly toward the cost of this treatment, including travel and support as Katie continues her fight.
⸻
How You Can Help
Please consider supporting us by donating whatever you can. If you’re unable to give, simply sharing this page would mean the world to us – and to Katie.
Let’s show her she’s not alone – not now, not ever.
