Following the recent reformation of Glapwell FC and junior football teams, we are hoping to raise over £10,000 to help restore our family clubhouse, which was last used in 2016, when the previous club folded and the ground left vacant..

Unfortunately from this point onwards the ground fell into disrepair, with the clubhouse also suffering extensive neglect, vandalism & theft from break-ins. The majority of damage has been caused to the inside and this was not helped by the theft of the metal roof sheeting, which has caused water ingress by being exposed to the elements and subsequent damage to the internal ceilings, decoration and flooring. Vandals have damaged furnishings as well as fixtures & fittings, plumbing and electrical damage/theft.

We intend to restore the clubhouse to its former glory, not only to benefit our adults, junior teams and their families, but to be a hub for the local community.

The works required include: new roof, electrics, decoration & refurbishment, security alarm, new bar/serving area, furniture and equipment. We intend to use as much local labour and suppliers as possible to undertake these works.

As a newly established club, we are very much at the heart of the local community, with facilities within the heart of Glapwell Village and providing football for the local community from ages 4-6 right through to adult teams.

By re-establishing the clubhouse, this not only gives the teams and club a social & family area, but also we aim to make this facility available for:

General functions

Local groups to use for other events / meeting groups

Adult learning & education centre

Fitness & leisure clubs/groups

Junior & youth holiday clubs

Community hub for all ages

Social & well being events for adults & children

We feel the clubhouse, not only provides a safe and inclusive envirenment for users but also a hub that can be accessed by users 7 days a week and not just for football.

All money raised will go straight in to the club and help rebuild the clubhouse. Any surplus funds will be put in to the junior teams section, to help establish new teams and maintain our weekly 4-6 year old kickstart football coaching programme.
