DESPERATE TO SAVE A NATIONAL LEGACY - The South African Lipizzaners:

I have been a volunteer and passionate supporter of these magnificent stallions for the best part of 30 years. But due to the COVID-19 LOCK DOWN, they are in desperate trouble. All performances to support the horses have been cancelled and now their means to survive has run dry. WE HAVE TO KEEP THEM ALIVE AND NEED YOUR COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT TO FEED AND CARE FOR THEM.

The South African Lipizzaners were brought to South Africa by a dedicated man, Count Jankovich-Besan, who passionately believed they were worth saving. I believe they are our responsibility to keep the legacy alive as we are privileged to be the only other country in the world to represent ALL 6 bloodlines of these magnificent creatures. They are not just a breed of horse. They ARE the Lipizzaners and we have a duty to protect them for future generations to share.

We have 32 Stallions and 27 Mares that need feeding, care, love and support as well as veterinary care.

The world is a different place and we are all feeling the devastating effect this virus has placed on all our shoulders, but we cannot let this magnificent legacy that has been in our country for the last 70 years die. EVERY PENNY no matter how small will help. Many contributions will make up many pounds. I for one will be forever grateful. THEY ARE SO WORTH IT.
