I've raised £500 to Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding and Rehabilitation Centre

Hi all, as you are all aware I spend so much time at Gigrin Red Kite feeding centre and im also building a new low level hide at the farm itself. I know so many other photographers and wildlife lovers have also spent many hours photographing and observing the stunning Red Kites at the farm.
Due to the current global pandemic times are extremely difficult for everyone and I wish all of this would just vanish so that we can all move forward and go back to how things were. Of course there is no sign of that actually happening any time soon and the biggest people hit are the self employed and small businesses that have built their entire life from the ground up!
Gigrin Farm is obviously closed to the general public but the costs to keep everything running on a daily basis are high, including the supplementation of food that the daily 300-500 birds get every single day! On top of that the centre is actually a rehabilitation centre for injured Red Kites, in conjunction with The Welsh Kite Trust. This allows the birds to get fit and strong enough to then be re-released back in to the wild. All of these things have costs and due to zero income from visitation all of this is extremely difficult to maintain.
Today I found a Red Kite that had been hit by a car and was laying on the side of the road in complete shock with an obvious broken wing. I took the bird in my car and dropped it straight off to the centre and it was welcomed with open arms. It made me realise how much work goes into this place to keep these birds thriving in our surrounding nature for all of us to enjoy.
So I have decided to put together a little justgiving page as a small gift to help the centre and ultimately the iconic Red Kites. Any small donation I am sure will be greatly appreciated.
For those who want to make a big donation I will be giving away one signed 24"x16" print from my Red Kite collection for the biggest amount donated.
Thank you all!
