Story

Please can you support our Rafting team to represent Great Britain so that we can attend the World championships in Australia this year.

The opportunity to attend the World championships is potentially a once in a life time opportunity for us. With paddles in hand the only thing holding us back now are the funds to get us there.

We need to raise £6,000 to fund the team's travel costs, food, accommodation and the competition registration. We need to have a good amount of these funds by the 15th February 2019 to even confirm and register our team for the competition and book flights

We will be representing Great Britain at both the European Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the World Championship in Australia this year. Therefore if we can't raise enough for Australia your donations will not go to waste and will help us compete in the European Competitions.

Can You Support Us?

Success from competing in the National British Raft Racing selections in December 2018 has given us the opportunity to represent Great Britain at an International level for the 5th Year running.

Red Rose Rafting Team was formed in 2009 by a group of amateur water sports enthusiasts.

Throughout the past 10 years we have taken part in events throughout the UK at a number of white water centres including Holme Pierrepoint Nottingham, Cardiff White Water Centre and the Olympic Lee Valley White Water Centre in London.

In the raft racing world each year a British Selections is held with the discipline changing from R6 (Squad of 7) to R4 (Squad of 5). In the past 4 years we have gained GBR 2 status for the open women category in both disciplines. This has opened the door to compete on the International stage. At every event we have to compete in 4 elements these include Sprint, Head 2 Head, Slalom and Downriver/Endurance race. With each element gaining points to build an overall score.

With your help and support Red Rose will be able to compete in these international rafting events. Each year we go from strength to strength and hope to continue.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we really appreciate any donation you can make
