My name is Nasir Ismael and I am an 18-year-old student from Millwall in East London. I recently graduated from the Bishop Challoner Catholic Federation of Schools Sixth Form in Tower Hamlets and will enroll at Princeton University as part of the Class of 2021 starting August 2017. I am a first-generation student and am the first person in my family to study outside of London, let alone in the United States.

I am extremely grateful to have received a full scholarship from Princeton. My mother is a single-parent of four children who has suffered from a long-term illness. Therefore, we would not have been able to pay for my university fees so I was taken aback when I saw Princeton's financial aid offer. If it weren't for Princeton, I don't know if I would be able to attend university.

However, there are still some costs that I must cover myself, such as the visa, travel and transition fees, as well as the annual health insurance cost. Your help and support will help me be able to pay for these costs and allow me to access my studies and make the most of this amazing opportunity.
