Update - 12.01.2021 - I received the news yesterday that Martin has now died. Thank you so much for your support over the last three weeks. The money raised will now go towards funeral costs and repatriation of his ashes. I know this is not what I originally said so any wishes for reimbursement will be dealt with, please just let me know by the end of the week when I will then take the page down. Thank you once again.

I am the only child of Martin, who raised me single handedly from infancy. He is currently in the ICU unit of a hospital in Cambodia. He is 72 years old. He has severe bronchopneumonia and severe malnutrition. He cannot eat anything solid due to a cancer he had eight years ago.

He is experiencing paranoid psychosis and is having to be restrained. He has been alone in the hospital since the 22nd of December. He cannot speak the language of Cambodia and only a few doctors there speak basic English. The hospital facilities are very basic.

Martin was born in London and has lived there most of his life. Before his retirement he worked for the NHS as a drugs counsellor. His family live in the UK and we want to get him back home where he belongs, back with the people that love him and into a hospital that can support his needs. Due to his condition he will only be able to travel by air ambulance which will cost between 90k - 100k, a cost that the British Embassy will not cover.

I have written to my MP, David Lammy, emailed local newspapers to raise awareness and have contacted several charities to help get this money raised and get my dad back home.

Any donation at all would be so helpful, it all counts towards this sum I am fighting so hard to raise so I can see my dad again and know that he is safe and being looked after. If you could also share this page with anyone you know I would be very grateful.

In the event of not being able to raise the sum required, all named donations will be returned as requested and anything leftover will be donated to a repatriation charity.
