I am attempting to raise up to £500 for a community project to support some disadvantaged people this Christmas.

I volunteer at Dukinfield Medical Practice and need funding to enable us to organise a Christmas party for some of the carers in the community, along with the people they care for. You can view a slideshow of last year's Christmas party further down this page.

We have been allocated a room for the event, but need funding to provide food and entertainment.

We strive to support the disadvantaged in our community, especially during the festive season, and we believe that carers can often be the overlooked individuals who selflessly care for their loved ones without any reward.

For the past few years, in addition to the Christmas party, we have provided around fifty hampers to some of the most deserving members of our practice community. This has been made possible thanks to generous donations of food from Morrisons, Asda, and Tesco, and contributions from many of our kind patients.

Please give what you can, whether large or small, as every little helps! If you prefer to give cash, please put it in a sealed envelope addressed to Julie Pregnall and leave it behind reception. It will be added to the Just Giving page, so please state if you wish to be anonymous and whether you want the amount to be disclosed.

However BEWARE! Just Giving suggests an additional donation to your payment as a Tip. On the Donation Summary Page, you can change the value of the Tip. Scroll down the page and select "Enter Custom Amount" and change the amount as required in the box provided. The next page will display the new amounts as appropriate.

On the payments page, you can change the payment method from the default setting.
