I have signed up to a challenge to try and help raise Money towards Porlock Oaks Nursery. I thought If I can complete this challenge through the month of August then any money raised can be used to purchase equipment ready for the new school year.

The Challenge I have chosen is to virtually swim the distance of The English Channel across the width of the Channel between England and France which is a total distance of 21 miles (33km, 33,600 metres)

To put this into perspective I currently swim 1000metres twice a week (three times if Im lucky) To complete this challenge in the time frame I would like then my goal will be to swim 2000 metres a minimum of four times a week so I will be doing double the distance double the amount of times that I am used to.

Tracking my progress will be done through The Conqueror App which will be linked to a device that can record the metres I swim which will then in turn plot my distance on a map so I will be able to give regular updates as to where I am.

The conqueror also pledge to either plant a tree or stop 10 bottles from entering the ocean for every 20% of the challenge I complete.
