As you may know, I am Charity Champion for Sports Connection Foundation. My role is to raise money to fund Sporting Wishes for disadvantaged children, and children with life shortening or threatening illnesses. These sporting experiences give the children something to look forward to and really put smiles back on the faces of the children and their families.

A number of the children we work with lose their hair due to treatments they need to have related to their illness, so on Sunday 19th August 2018 I am going to be shaving my hair off to try and raise as much money as possible at the same time raising awareness of the charity and what we do.

The average cost of a sporting wish is £1500, so this is my target.

If you know me well you'll know that I am quite precious about my hair and spend a fair bit of time in the mirror styling it. Some of the children we have worked with are looking forward to helping me shave it all off!
