I'm raising as much money as we can to support the residents of Applegarth that were affected by the fire.

The money raised will be used to help support the victims through the recovery period and beyond (funds allowing)

The funds will be given to the people that need the most help through a community committee to distribute accordingly.

There is a lovely 85 year old Maureen Harris who lives in the ground floor flat, that unfortunately didn’t have insurance as there was some confusion on her behalf (no judgement please as we have all made mistakes) but she has lost most things to water and smoke damage.

The upstairs are again a wonderful couple and their son, they are the most affected by the fire damage and will have also lost everything but i haven‘t caught up with them as yet about their position.

At this point that’s all the information we have for now.

I have set a target of 10k but there is no real target. In the event that money raised exceeds requirements for this programm, surplus funds will be held by BPC ring fenced for 5 years to be used in the event of a similar misfortune. After 5 years this will be used for an appropriate village activity.
