In February 2019 I donated a kidney to my daughter. She had been on dialysis for two years & the surgery has transformed her life. We were moved by the support we received from the Ysbyty Gwynedd Kidney Patients Association & by meeting people who had been waiting years for a organ.

I‘m going to walk from the renal unit at Ysbyty Alltwen, Porthmadog to the renal unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd Bangor, over 25 miles, in one day.

I’m hoping to raise money for the charity, raise awareness of the need for organ donors, the importance of discussing your wishes with your loved ones & raise awareness of altruistic donation, where a person donates to a stranger.

I’m training hard for the walk & hoping to do it on February 14th.
