I've raised £1000 to help and enable local disadvantaged families to enjoy FREE days and events at Wolverhampton's unique comedy festival Funny Things.

From performance, visual arts, theatre, slapstick, improv, poetry, spoken word, film, variety, workshops and stand-up we've got something funny to fit with everyone's taste.
Whatever your age, we've got something for little ones to enjoy to older folks and everything inbetween. From household names to new talent - we've got it covered.
We know that laughing and being happy can help with our well-being and it's important to us that as many people as possible have access to our events. We want to be able to offer quality experiences to those who might not have the chance.
-£50 would fund a place on a comedy workshop for one young person to develop their confidence and build key life skills.
-£100 would provide 10 people with a night of laughter at one of the festival events
-£250 would provide transport for 10 young people to safely get to and from an event in the city centre
-£500 would provide a workshop for a community group in their local area, in a community space of their choice.
-£1000 would provide a hot meal, ticket to a show and transport for 20 people
Special artist commissions – We will be working with local people to get Wolverhampton and the Black Country laughing with 3 unique artist commissions.
Special events – We are working with wonderful venues in Wolverhampton and some brilliant regional organisations to put on some very special events and activities, including Flatpack who combine film with live performance and Centrala who will be bringing Eastern European comedians and artists to the festival.
Children’s programme – We are running the festival during half term, so there will be loads of fun family events and activities throughout the week
Workshops – The festival will give people an opportunity to have a go at comedy themselves, with workshops including stand-up comedy, improvisation and cartoon drawing
Stand-up comedy pub programme – We are working with The Lych Gate Tavern and The Giffard to showcase some of the fantastic talents on the comedy circuit, with local and national comedians fresh from Edinburgh Fringe.
