The National Covid Memorial Wall is situated on the southbank of London between Westminster and Lambeth Bridges. Each hand-painted heart represents someone who was loved and was lost too soon to Covid. The wall commemorates the lives of over 200,000 people; husbands, wives, partners sons, daughters and friends. The upkeep of the wall and the adding of new dedication hearts is managed by a very small group of dedicated volunteers. This 2023 fundraising page has been opened to raise funds for the special paint and pens needed to keep the wall maintained and support for the annual memorial events. 1 year agoOur 2023 Challenge page closes today. We raised £2,400 in total, and we want to say a final thank you to everyone who supported us to support the upkeep of the National Covid Memorial Wall ❤️ The volunteers’ great work continues, as does the campaign to make the Wall a permanent memorial to loved ones. We will continue our efforts to support the cause with future challenges, meantime you will find us at the Wall on 29th March for the annual memorial. Thank you all ❤️

1 year agoA few pics from yesterday. We've surpassed our £1,000 target. By the time we reached the wall we'd raised £2, 125 and by the time we got home it had gone up again to £2,250! We will continue to raise funds until the end of the year. Thanks again to everyone for your support :)

1 year agoWe’ve taken our last steps and completed the 1,000 Miles. Arriving at Tower Hill we crisscrossed the 11 Bridges standing between us and The Wall. We reached Big Ben, the clouds lifted and we took a moment on Westminster Bridge to gaze over to the wall. The thousands of hearts make a work of art and the dedications are poetry. The volunteers greeted us and we chatted to visitors who shared emotional stories we us. Before leaving we stopped at Panel 6 and laid our 79th Pebble. Thanks to everyone for your donations and support.
