Story
Let Us Continue Together.
This year, some families have found themselves in an unimaginable financial situation. The Government has recently announced that they will be providing extra money to local authorities to support those in receipt of free school meals but we feel this support could be supplemented by us, with your generous support.
We are aiming to provide our most vulnerable families with support parcels in the final week of term. These parcels will largely contain day to day food and household items that will help bring holiday food shopping bills down and ease some financial pressure to those that are struggling the most.
We have had an overwhelming level of support from local supermarkets already, who are kindly offering donations, but we would also like your support as previously mentioned. Therefore, we have set up a Just Giving page and, if you can afford to, we would like to call on your support please.
Regrettably, these uncertain times mean that, this year, the children will not be able to share Christmas cards in school, as this could increase the risk of transmission of Covid-19. However, we thought that perhaps families might wish to consider donating the money they would otherwise have spent on Christmas cards, thereby still spreading some Christmas cheer within our school.
We are very proud to be part of this local community and your support during the past 8 months has been fantastic so let us continue ‘together’ and not let ‘COVID’ stop us!
We thank you in advance for your support and generosity towards our community.
When the fundraising is closed, funds will be drawn into the Friends of Barnsole account and used to pay for the food items. We aim to use all of the money raised.
